Why use a coach?

There are many reasons why a coach can be valuable and it is likely to be slightly different for each person – as each person is unique and has their own life experiences.

Some of the common ways that dream work achieve coaching can help you:

• Providing space and support to help you really reflect on your life – to identify what is important to you and get real clarity on what you want to achieve.

• Being asked questions that you have previously not thought of - generating new thinking and perspectives

• Having an independent party to talk through challenges and ways forward, in a safe and supportive space, with no judgement or consequences.

• Challenging your thinking and behaviour, creating space for you to reflect on your thoughts and actions – providing learning and growth

• Bring awareness to things about yourself that can be very difficult to actually see by yourself (e.g. habits and beliefs that are subconscious) – providing you with new awareness and insight into your thoughts and behaviours

• An independent party to support you to be accountable – we can be great at talking ourselves into sticking with our comfortable choices, a coach can provide an external accountability point to keep you focused on meeting your goals.

• Offering exercises and assessments that provide you with research validated information – to help you better understand yourself and where opportunities/risks may be present for you

The biggest investment you can make is in yourself, and working with a coach is an investment in your personal and professional growth.
