What are you holding onto?

It can be easy to hold onto things in our mind - that do not serve us. These things can become part of our identities and shape our view of the world. Some common examples include:

  • a belief that you cannot achieve something

  • a grudge against someone

  • a fear stopping you from taking action

  • a past mistake influencing your current choices

  • a bad experience causing you to avoid certain things

While these things may have served us at a point in time, they may no longer be useful and be limiting your life.

Exercise:

  • Ponder what you may be holding onto that may no longer serve you. Perhaps ask those close to you for feedback on what they see, that you may not.

  • Consider how your life might improve if you let it go.

  • Reflect on the benefits and costs of holding on, versus letting go.
